‘VibeAI (CEO Hong Jun-ho),’ a local AI-based startup directly invested in by the Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Sejong Center) , has been finally selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Pre-TIPS program.
Sejong Center made a direct investment of 100 million won in the company and played an active role as an accelerator to help promising local startups enter the technology-based growth stage.
VibeAI is a technology startup that provides AI vertical solutions specialized in the Gov-Tech field, such as urban growth index analysis, policy communication, and urban competitiveness evaluation, by analyzing user behavior and predicting industrial trends based on social big data.
Sejong Center has recognized VibeAI as a ‘Sejong-type Gov-Tech leading company’ and has continuously fostered it through comprehensive growth support programs such as investment placement programs, IR advancement, and open innovation-based PoC support from the early stages.
This selection of FreeTips is a representative case of the Sejong Center linking technology verification and commercialization funds for promising local companies through direct investment, and is closely aligned with the policy direction of Sejong City, a public-centered city. In particular, Vibe AI is advancing AI analysis models tailored to policy needs based on the public data infrastructure of the administrative city of Sejong, and is showing the possibility of expanding cooperation with central government agencies and local governments.
Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation CEO Deukchang Oh emphasized, “Vibe AI is a representative Gov-Tech type AI startup discovered and directly invested in by the Sejong Center, and this selection for FreeTips is a symbolic case that has realized the Sejong Center’s initial investment virtuous cycle model of ‘investment → linkage of commercialization funds → expansion based on policy demand.’”
