IVIS (CEO Nam Ki-mo), a vehicle mobility software company, announced on the 3rd that it will participate in the 'Development of a Cloud-based Evaluation Model and Process for 3-Tier Linked Autonomous Driving Software and Data Integration Verification' project within the Autonomous Driving Technology Development Innovation Project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The purpose of this project is to develop a cloud-based integrated evaluation model and process that can reliably verify whether autonomous driving software complies with the operational design scope (ODD) and data integrity and consistency based on data generated from a 3-Tier autonomous driving system consisting of a vehicle, edge infrastructure, and cloud. Through this, it secures real-time interoperability and safety across the autonomous driving system and establishes a foundation for systematizing a data-based verification and certification environment.
In this project, Ibis is responsible for developing autonomous driving operation data verification technology, developing a communication protocol and data storage system between 3-Tier structures, and establishing a cloud-based integrated evaluation infrastructure. Through this, the goal is to implement a system that integrates and operates the entire process from collection, storage, analysis, visualization, and verification.
“Data-based autonomous driving system verification is the key to the competitiveness of the autonomous driving industry,” said Nam Ki-mo, CEO of Ibis. “Through this project, we will advance data integrity and consistency verification technology and demonstrate a cloud-linked integrated evaluation environment to prove the effectiveness of a data-based verification system.” He added, “Based on the capabilities accumulated through autonomous driving control systems and indoor/outdoor mobility verification, we will focus on developing a commercializable evaluation solution by securing the reliability of data communication and evaluation processes between vehicles, edge, and cloud.”
