Point Mobile announced on the 3rd that it signed a supply contract for the wearable scanner 'PM5' worth a total of 5.5 billion won with a European e-commerce company. Through this contract, approximately 19,500 PM5 units will be supplied, which is a cumulative performance of over 28,000 units, following the 9,000 units supplied to the same market last year.
PM5 is a wearable ring scanner that is worn on the finger, and is designed for environments such as logistics centers that require free work with both hands. It is an ultra-light product weighing only 69g, and has durability that can withstand a 1.8m drop, IP65-rated water and dust resistance, a high-performance 2D scanner, and compatibility with various Bluetooth-based devices, allowing stable use in industrial settings. This product is particularly evaluated to have improved work efficiency in quickly sorting and selecting large quantities of goods in e-commerce logistics warehouses.
A Point Mobile official explained, “This large-scale order was made based on the market’s positive evaluation of our technological prowess and product reliability,” and “PM5 is a product that has made a real contribution to improving the work productivity of our actual customers, and Amazon, a leading global e-commerce company, is currently conducting final tests for large-scale introduction.”
