Global chemical company WACKER Chemicals will participate in 'In-cosmetics Korea 2025', a personal care raw materials exhibition held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from July 2nd to 4th. At this event, WACKER Chemicals will unveil a variety of silicone products for aging care.

In-Cosmetics Korea is a specialized exhibition of cosmetic raw materials where domestic and international cosmetic raw material manufacturers and distributors gather to share the latest cosmetic raw materials, new technologies, and marketing trends. This exhibition is attended by approximately 300 cosmetic raw material and manufacturing companies from around the world, and is attended by approximately 10,000 R&D experts, chemical researchers, scientists, and marketing experts.

At this exhibition, Barker Chemicals will be unveiling for the first time a silicone hair care product line for aging care. This product uses Amodimethicone Crosspolymer Technology to brighten and shine gray hair that is prone to yellowing, and adds softness. It is used as a raw material in shampoos, rinses, and treatments.

In addition to this, the exhibition will also feature eco-friendly silicone oil products made from renewable bio-methanol raw materials, biodegradable silicone elastomer gels, raw materials for long-lasting cosmetics, and silicone powders and emulsions for general hair care, skin care, and makeup.

Recently, 'slow aging' is a trend in the beauty industry. The need for consumers to maintain healthy beauty that suits their age is growing stronger. According to the 2025 Beauty & Personal Care Trends Report by Mintel Database, 63% of British adults aged 16 to 44 responded that they want beauty products developed according to their age. Following this trend, Barker Chemicals is focusing on developing aging care silicone products.

Jo Dal-ho, CEO of Barker Chemicals Korea, said, “Barker Chemicals has established a silicone consumer care technology center in Anyang and is researching and developing slow-aging products. Barker Chemicals plans to expand its portfolio of products for aging care in the future and strengthen technical cooperation with customers through the Barker Academy, a technical training program.”
