The Korea Radio Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as RAPA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 4th that it has opened 'AWS AI School', a practical artificial intelligence (AI) training course in cooperation with Amazon Web Services Korea (AWS).
'AWS AI School' aims to foster convergent talents who can plan, develop, deploy, and operate AI services throughout the entire cycle by integrating cloud, container, and deep learning technologies. The education is structured around AWS's platform-based curriculum, and focuses on field-oriented capacity cultivation through various practical projects including generative AI technology.
The course consists of a total of 15 subjects and approximately 1,040 hours, and participants will learn core competencies in each field through practice, including ▲IT infrastructure fundamentals (network, Linux, etc.), ▲cloud and container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation), ▲deep learning model design and implementation (BERT, RNN, Transformer, etc.), ▲AI service construction and operation (using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Titan Embedding).
In particular, it includes projects such as ▲document-based question-answering system (QA) covering the entire AI development cycle ▲building of an embedding search-based generation (RAG) chatbot, and in-depth learning on the latest natural language processing (NLP) technologies such as sentiment analysis, document classification, and prompt engineering is also conducted.
This training is being promoted as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'K-Digital Training' Advanced Industry and Digital Leading Company Academy project, and will be operated as an offline group training method at RAPA Gasan DX Campus. The first period will be conducted from mid-July 2025 to February 2026, and the second period will be conducted from December 2025 to May 2026 for a total of 6.5 months, and 30 people will be selected for each period.
The target of the training is Tomorrow Learning Card holders, and all trainees will be provided with the opportunity to take AWS authorized AI training courses and professional qualification exams free of charge. In addition, we plan to support the development of talents with practical field capabilities through project mentoring by current AWS solution architects and practical guidance by technical experts. After completing the training, opportunities to participate in AWS official conferences and partner company recruitment events (job fairs) will also be provided.
The Korea Radio Promotion Association has been operating the 'AWS Cloud School' since 2022, and has produced 10 classes to date. Many of these graduates have found employment at major IT companies and AWS overseas branches based on their practical capabilities based on AWS's cloud technology. Based on these achievements, the association plans to develop this 'AWS AI School' into a more advanced, practice-oriented curriculum.
An official from the Korea Radio Promotion Association said, “This course is a practical program that covers everything from the basic infrastructure required by AI technology to the implementation and operation of generative AI models,” adding, “We expect it to contribute to fostering talent that can be immediately deployed to cloud-based AI services.”
