Grip Company, signed a business agreement to 'support digital transformation of small business owners in Seongnam City's traditional market'

Grip Company (CEO Kim Hanna and Kim Taesu), which operates the live commerce shopping app 'Grip', announced on the 7th that it signed a business agreement with the Seongnam Center of the Small Business Market Promotion Agency, Seongnam City Merchants Association, Dong Seoul University, and Shingu University for 'Promotion of Sales Channel Innovation and Digital Transformation in Seongnam City Traditional Markets'.

This agreement ceremony was held on the 4th at the Grip headquarters in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, and was attended by Grip Business Headquarters officials, Sojin-gong Seongnam Center, Seongnam City Merchants Association, Dong Seoul University, and Shingu University. Through this agreement, Grip Company plans to support the digital transformation of small business owners in traditional markets and alley shopping districts in Seongnam-si and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.

According to the agreement, Grip will operate the ‘Seongnam City Traditional Market Digital Tutor Program.’ Twelve college student tutors selected from Dong Seoul University and Shingu University will provide training on how to use the Grip platform to 42 merchants in Seongnam City’s traditional markets and alley-type shopping streets.

On the day of the signing ceremony, pre-training was provided to tutors, including the grip platform structure, seller entry procedures, product registration practice, broadcast function utilization, and broadcast practice.

From August to November, tutors will team up with merchants and provide practical training, including ▲ guidance on store opening procedures ▲ product registration and content composition methods ▲ live broadcast planning and broadcasting training. Each team aims to have at least 20 store opening applications and at least 10 actual broadcasts.

Grip Company CEO Kim Tae-soo said, “This agreement is significant in providing practical digital education and on-site support to traditional market merchants,” and added, “We will continue to coexist with the local community by supporting the digital transformation of small business owners and expanding the public-private cooperation model based on local communities.”
