Daejeon Innovation Center, '2025 Social Impact Changers 6th Generation' Mixed Finance Workshop Held

Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as Daejeon Innovation Center) held a 'Mixed Finance Workshop' for 15 companies participating in the '2025 Social Impact Changers 6th Batch' at Maryhere in Seongsu-dong, Seoul on the 4th.

Social Impact Changers is a Daejeon-type technology-based social venture support program hosted by Daejeon Metropolitan City and organized by Daejeon Innovation Center.

This workshop is a practical program that supports technology-based social ventures to understand the mixed finance structure and design funding strategies in practice, focusing on strengthening impact communication capabilities and establishing business strategies.

The workshop began with impact report training, followed by practice of mixed rate strategies, exchanges with senior social ventures, a visit to senior companies, and networking between participating companies.

In particular, training on writing impact reports based on the theory of change was conducted together, allowing participating companies to construct a storyline that directly connects social value and business strategy, and to conduct practical training to derive impact indicators that are suitable for their companies. Through this, the foundation was laid to increase the consistency of impact messages for each company and to strengthen communication capabilities with investors and stakeholders.

In the blended finance strategy training that followed, we learned the structure of combining various financial resources such as subsidies, loans, and private investment, and had time to establish a financing strategy that suits each company's growth stage.

The third session provided a platform for exchange where senior social ventures, Unique Good Company (CEO Song In-hyeok) and Byeolttaraja (CEO Kim Gyeong-mok), shared their fundraising cases and growth strategies, and provided real insights through Q&A sessions while hearing vivid stories from the startup scene.

Lastly, the participants toured the experiential space ‘Real World’ operated by a senior company, where they could interact and network with each other.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “Through this workshop, we hope that the participating companies of the 6th Social Impact Changers will strengthen their funding strategies and impact communication capabilities, and lay the foundation for sustainable growth.”
