– Dipping Source participates as a key technology partner in ‘Real×Tech LAWSON’
– Providing a store operation support system through in-store data visualization and AI agent
– Kim Tae-hoon, CEO of Dipping Sauce, “We will further solidify our position in the Japanese retail tech market.”

AI retail tech specialist Deeping Source (CEO Taehoon Kim) has participated as a key technology partner in the 'Real x Tech Lawson 1st Store' jointly launched by Japanese telecommunications company KDDI and convenience store chain Lawson.
KDDI and Lawson opened the first 'Real×Tech LAWSON' store, 'LAWSON Takanawa Gate City Store', in Takanawa Gateway City, Tokyo on June 23. Dipping Source is participating as a partner company that provides AI agent solutions for optimizing store operations.
The core technology that Dipping Source is in charge of in this first 'Real x Tech Lawson' is the 'in-store data visualization and store operation support through AI agents' system. This solution analyzes shelf inventory status and customer behavior in real time based on security camera information, and the AI agent provides integrated support from identifying problems to suggesting and verifying improvement measures.
In particular, it provides an operating environment where store operation decisions made by employees based on experience and intuition are converted to data-based ones, thereby maintaining a certain level of quality regardless of experience. This project participation is the result of Dippin's attracting strategic investment from KDDI's corporate venture fund, 'KDDI Open Innovation Fund 3' (operator Global Brain Co., Ltd.) in June of this year. KDDI has maintained an ongoing partnership since participating as a lead investor in Dippin's Series A round in 2019 through KDDI Open Innovation Fund 3.
Dipping Sauce is currently working with many offline companies in Korea, including BGF Retail (CU), Lotte World, and COEX, and has proven its effectiveness in increasing sales in actual stores. It has obtained SOC2 certification for data anonymization technology to protect personal information, meeting global-level security standards.
CEO Kim Tae-hoon emphasized, “Participation in this project means that Dipping Source has been recognized as a technology leader in the global AI retail tech market,” and “Based on the strategic partnership with KDDI, we will further solidify our position in the Japanese retail tech market.”
Dipping Source, which currently generates more than 50% of its total sales from overseas, is expected to further solidify its position in the Japanese retail tech market through this project while accelerating its leap forward as a leading global AI retail tech company.
