VD Company Changes Company Name to 'VD Robotics'

VD Company (CEO Ham Pan-sik) announced on the 8th that it will change its company name to 'vd robotics' and unveil a new corporate identity (CI), strengthening its identity as a specialized service robot company.

The new mission, ‘VD Robotics’, contains the will to lead the ‘service robotics’ ecosystem that integrates hardware, software, platforms, and user-friendly operation and maintenance technologies based on robot operation/maintenance and data-based service know-how. The company has set a goal of growing into a ‘global service robot platform company that connects robots to everyday life’ by 2030.

The brand identity is set as 'Service Robotics Innovator' and is based on four core values: people-centeredness, smooth system linkage, reliable operational technology, and joint development with customers. The new CI visually expresses the connectivity and infinite value of people and robots by utilizing the infinite (∞) motif.

With this change of mission, VD Robotics plans to expand its 'Smart FM Solution' area, which innovates facility management (FM) business centered on human resources such as cleaning, parking, security, delivery, guidance, and advertising, with robots and AI technology. In relation to this, it established 'Clever Team', a dedicated cleaning robot organization, in April, and launched two products of the cleaning robot brand 'Clever' in June, thereby expanding its business. Currently, the 'Clever' cleaning robot lineup consists of four products: the 4-in-1 compact cleaning robot 'Clever S1', the completely unmanned AI cleaning robot 'Clever S3', the smart wet scrubber 'Clever A1', and the high-end wet cleaning scrubber 'Clever SH1'.

In addition, VD Robotics is pushing for the commercialization of the first humanoid robot in Korea and plans to apply it to various fields such as education, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, and daily life services. The strategy is to advance products through ODM and self-assembly production of service robots based on the 'VD Enriching Center' located in Korea and to expand overseas exports based on this.

CEO Ham Pan-sik said, “VD Robotics is a company that designs environments where robots can operate naturally and grow together in everyday life and industrial settings,” and added, “As a service robotics innovator, we will strive to enable robots to create more value in various parts of society.”
