Kanevi Mobility (CEO Jong-taek Jeong and Geun-baek Ahn) announced on the 8th that it will participate in the '2025 Autonomous Driving Mobility Industry Exhibition' held at COEX in Seoul from the 9th to the 11th.
This industrial exhibition, co-hosted by the Korea Autonomous Driving Industry Association and COEX, is a specialized exhibition held with the goal of revitalizing the domestic autonomous driving and mobility industry.
At this event, Kanevi Mobility will unveil the 'KM-2010', a wireless communication terminal for autonomous robots that is an upgrade of the existing product 'KM-1000'. 'KM-2010' has improved overall performance such as network efficiency, stability, and delay time by applying private 5G communication, the next-generation wireless communication standard IEEE 802.11be, and the V2X vehicle communication standard IEEE 802.11p. The company explained that through this, it has prepared for the commercialization of the V2X market, which is direct communication between vehicles that is essential in the era of autonomous driving.
In addition, the LiDAR product 'VL-R4' developed with domestic technology will be introduced. 'VL-R4' has acquired laser safety certification 'Eye-safety Class 1' and KC, CE, and IP66 certifications, demonstrating reliability. This year, more than 3,500 units of this product were supplied for use in detecting obstacles on subway screen doors in the Seoul and Gyeongin Lines.
Along with this, two types of hardware platforms based on battlefield infotainment products and high-performance domestic SoC chipsets will also be unveiled. Each is evaluated to have price and technology competitiveness compared to foreign products, with performances of 100,000 DMIPS and 240,000 DMIPS. Kanevi Mobility plans to expand this platform to various mobility fields, such as autonomous mobile robots (AMR).
A Canevi Mobility official said, “We plan to focus on promoting the customized solutions and technical support we provide for building an integrated platform for robots and drones using our products,” adding, “We will use this exhibition as an opportunity to introduce commercial-level products and certification technologies, and also begin to fully advance into the global market.”
