K-Ground Ventures Launches 'K-Physical AI·AI Convergence Startup Alliance'

K-Ground Ventures (CEO Namhoon Cho) announced on the 8th that it will launch the 'K-Physical AI·AI Convergence Startup Alliance' with domestic and foreign investment firms, local governments, and industrial associations, and will work to create an investment ecosystem for domestic startups to enter the global market.

The purpose of this alliance is to support domestic deep-tech companies with competitiveness in various fields such as semiconductors, manufacturing, defense, and bio to lead innovation in each industry by converging with AI technology. K-Ground Ventures plans to promote the creation of a customized ecosystem for commercialization and global expansion of startups with AI-based on-device technology and AI convergence technology.

The alliance launch event held at Changjo Agora in Seoul on the 4th was attended by major startups such as HyperVisual AI, which is developing a GPNPU for on-device AI, Dayton, which possesses native LLM technology using a restricted Boltzmann machine (RBM)-based neural network model, Tira Robotics, which is developing an autonomous logistics robot, and AI control solution company Wim. Among them, Tira Robotics, HyperVisual AI, and Wim signed a business agreement (MOU) for the joint development of next-generation AI logistics robots and agreed to strengthen cooperation in technology development, investment attraction, and global IP applications.

The launching ceremony was attended by domestic and international experts, including former Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) President Seok-jin Yoon, K-Bio Lab Hub Business Promotion Team Leader In-seok Han, Incheon TP Venture Growth Center Director Jong-yoon Kim, Silicon Valley-based AI semiconductor company SambaNova's Dr. Sang-min Lee, and Kairos Ventures CEO Young-chul Yoo, who discussed cooperation plans for each industry and global strategies.

K-Ground Ventures elected former CEO Seokjin Yoon, General Manager Inseok Han, and CEO Namhoon Cho as co-chairs of the council and officially announced the launch of 'AI Alliance SHIFT'. In the future, they plan to expand their connections with global investment and technology ecosystems by cooperating with Silicon Valley VC Plug & Play and others.

A representative of K-Ground Ventures said, “In order to prepare for the era of physical AI, where AI technology is fused with physical products and industries, we want to build an industry-centered, practical investment, technology, and market linkage model,” adding, “We will actively support the growth and global expansion of startups with AI convergence technologies.”
