Eta Electronics (CEO Nam Jeong-yong, Yeo Tae-dong), a startup specializing in wireless power transmission solutions, announced on the 9th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Watt (CEO Choi Jae-won), a startup specializing in in-building autonomous delivery robot solutions, to expand its robot wireless charging solution business and activate the ecosystem.
Through this agreement, Eta Electronics plans to work with Watt to promote the entry of its wireless charging solution, ELYX, into the Japanese market. Watt has been working with Yamato Transport, the number one company in the Japanese courier market share, to expand its robot courier service in Japan since last year, and plans to begin test operations in Tokyo in the second half of this year.
Nam Jeong-yong, CEO of Eta Electronics, said, “Through this agreement, we hope to effectively target the Japanese market together with Watt,” and “As Elix was the first in Korea to obtain KC certification for robot wireless charging, we will work to ensure that it can establish itself stably in the Japanese market as well.”
Watt CEO Choi Jae-won said, “With this agreement, we will do our best to support Eta Electronics’ expansion into the Japanese market,” and “Since our robot delivery solutions are operated in residential and office buildings in Japan, we will actively review cooperative measures so that our wireless charging solutions can also be well-received locally.”
