Atium Investment Invests in US AI Medical Imaging Company ‘Subtle Medical’

Atium Investment recently announced that it has completed its investment in Subtle Medical, a US AI medical imaging solution company. This investment is a strategic decision considering the global growth potential of the healthcare sector utilizing AI technology.

Subtle Medical is a medical AI company founded by Stanford University graduates, and is developing and commercializing a deep learning-based solution that can shorten the data acquisition speed of various imaging devices such as MRI and PET by up to 80%. The technology shortens the examination time for patients and provides medical institutions with the effect of improving the efficiency and profitability of utilizing expensive equipment. In addition, the company is developing a technology that can produce images of the same quality while reducing the amount of contrast agent administered by up to 90% compared to existing ones, and is launching the product through collaboration with global contrast agent companies such as Bracco and Bayer.

The company is also planning to develop a disease diagnosis solution based on recently accelerated medical images, and is pushing forward with business expansion into the medical image analysis field. It currently supplies solutions in 15 countries including the US, Europe, Australia, and Singapore, and is ranked first in cumulative sales based on MRI in the US and China. It also maintains partnerships with major medical institutions in the US such as MD Anderson Cancer Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
