Groove Appoints Former Cisco Senior Manager Kim Mi-jung as Country Manager for Korea

Grove announced on the 9th that it has appointed Kim Mi-jung, former senior manager at Cisco Systems, as the head of its Korean branch. This appointment is a strategic move for Grove to expand its business in the Korean and Asian markets, and the company plans to make full-scale market inroads with the Korean market as its regional hub in Asia.

Groove entered the Korean market in June with an investment in domestic consulting firm Pricow, and is strengthening its organizational capabilities and local leadership through the appointment of this branch manager, following the acquisition of a technology operation base.

The new CEO, Kim Mi-jung, graduated from Sogang University’s Department of Chemical Engineering and received a master’s degree from KAIST. She has since built up a diverse career in the IT and business fields for approximately 23 years. In particular, during her tenure at Cisco Systems, she achieved major results by encompassing strategy formulation and field execution in the enterprise, public, and commercial sectors.

From 2019 to 2024, he led the Cisco Korea GVSE (Global Virtual Sales & Engineering) team, leading customer analysis, market entry strategy establishment, and coverage model design. During the period, he achieved over 100% of the target sales for nine consecutive quarters, and even recorded over 200% performance in some quarters. Through this, he received the 'Manager Excellence Awards' from Cisco headquarters for two consecutive years.

In addition, we have been implementing sales strategies based on technology and industry understanding by signing large-scale IT contracts such as EA (Enterprise Agreement) targeting major domestic companies.

CEO Kim said, “Groove is a company that strategically presents solutions by focusing on customers’ challenges,” and added, “We will work closely with domestic customers to realize digital innovation together and contribute to strengthening Groove’s position in the Asian market.”

“Mijung Kim brings deep insight into both technology and business,” said Tarun Raisoni, CEO and co-founder of Groove. “This appointment will strengthen our ability to execute our strategy in the Korean market, accelerate the expansion of our partnerships in the region, and create customer innovation cases.”
