Channel Corporation (CEO Siwon Choi), which operates the all-in-one AI business messenger 'Channel Talk', announced on the 9th that it has released an MCP host function for building a work automation environment for 'Team Alp', an AI tool for in-house work assistance.

Team Alp's MCP host function acts as a hub to help with external solutions and data linkage. It is designed to maximize the work efficiency of counselors by freely connecting tools and databases that support MCP, such as Notion and Linear, to Team Alp, and to significantly expand the scope of Channel Talk utilization in non-counseling departments.

For example, if a user asks “Save to Notion” to record the answers they received from a conversation with Team Alp, Team Alp organizes the information in the user’s Notion. In addition, various data linked to Team Alp can be viewed in real time, so users can work in one place without the hassle of going back and forth between multiple systems to find information.

In addition, Channel Corporation provides an MCP server function that non-developers can easily utilize with natural language commands in the Vibe coding environment. Previously, developers had to match the system with the installation of Channel Talk and data linkage on their own self-built homepage, but with this update, non-developers can easily install and link Channel Talk with natural language commands such as “Install Channel Talk” and “Link member information.”

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an integrated standard for connecting AI systems and external data sources, proposed by American generative AI startup 'Antropic' through its service Claude in November of last year. It supports AI to become an 'acting entity', such as loading external documents or sending emails, beyond simply answering questions with given information.

Yoon Tae-hoon, CTO of Channel Corporation, said, “The global generative AI agent market is currently in a fierce battle of speed with rapid changes every day,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our products with quick decision-making and a challenging startup spirit in order to actively introduce innovative technologies to improve the efficiency of our customers’ work.”

Meanwhile, Channel Corporation launched 'Team Alp' in May to support improved work efficiency for its clients. Team Alp is a generative AI tool based on GPT and Gemini models, and provides various AI convenience functions such as △draft message writing △summarizing conversation content △quick research △spelling check △translation on the Channel Talk manager screen without moving to a separate page. It is currently in the beta service period and all Channel Talk clients can use it for free.
