Mark & Company Signs Business Agreement with Korea Credit Guarantee Fund

Mark & Company (CEO Hong Kyung-pyo), which operates the startup growth analysis platform ‘Forest of Innovation’, and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (Chairman Choi Won-mok) announced that they signed a business agreement (MOU) to support the growth of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.

This agreement was promoted with the purpose of strengthening information accessibility and support capacity for innovative companies through data linkage between the private and public sectors. Based on the agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a more precise information analysis and support system for small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to the agreement, Mark & Company will provide the investment attraction history information collected from its startup data platform, ‘Forest of Innovation’, to the Credit Guarantee Fund. The Credit Guarantee Fund plans to link the data to its corporate information analysis service, ‘BASA’, to more quickly secure non-financial information on companies and use it to diagnose corporate growth potential.

BASA is a public data-based analysis platform that analyzes corporate management status, industry trends, financial data, etc. and is used for corporate credit ratings and guarantee reviews. It is expected that the analysis accuracy of BASA will improve with this data collaboration.

The two organizations plan to continue to discover joint support measures for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises through various forms of data combination and information sharing in the future.

Hong Kyung-pyo, CEO of Mark & Company, said, “This agreement is significant in that it is the first attempt to link startup growth data with public data,” and added, “We hope that it will become a model case of private-public data cooperation.”

A Korea Credit Guarantee Fund official said, “By securing non-financial data such as investment information, we have been able to conduct more three-dimensional corporate analysis,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our support for data-based innovative companies through cooperation with private platforms.”
