Deep Insight (CEO Eunsong Oh) announced on the 10th that it was finally selected for the 'SCALE-UP TIPS', a technology startup support program hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
'Scale-up Tips' is a program that supports the advancement and commercialization of technology startups by linking private investment and government R&D funds. For startups that have attracted more than 1 billion won in investment from private operators, the government provides additional support of up to 2 billion won in investment-type R&D or 1.2 billion won in investment-linked R&D funds for up to 3 years.
Through this project, DeepInsight plans to develop ‘high-performance in-cabin monitoring technology for passenger safety and vehicle interior environment optimization.’ This technology aims to implement a responsive monitoring function that precisely detects the status, behavior, and location of passengers in the vehicle in real time by combining 3D ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensors and on-device AI, and automatically adjusts the system judgment criteria according to changes in the external environment.
Beyond the existing driver-centric monitoring system (DMS), the construction of an AI-based smart in-cabin platform that integrates various in-vehicle safety and convenience functions, such as protection of vulnerable passengers such as children and the elderly, safety control linked to airbags and seat belts, and customized lighting and air conditioning control, is being promoted.
DeepInsight has developed its own smart vision solutions, including the in-cabin monitoring system 'CAMOSYS' and the portable 3D spatial information scanner 'DIMENVUE Pro', based on 'AI-on-Camera' technology that embeds artificial intelligence algorithms directly into cameras.
Through this selection for 'Scale-up Tips', Deep Insight has secured approximately 1.2 billion won in government R&D funding, and plans to use this as a basis for technological advancement, mass production preparation, and full-scale entry into the global market.
“The interior of a vehicle is no longer simply a space for movement, but is evolving into a space where safety and user experience are integrated,” said Eunsong Oh, CEO of Deep Insight. “Through AI-based in-cabin technology, we will secure technological competitiveness in the global mobility market and establish ourselves as the next-generation standard.”
