JNP Global makes strategic investment in G-Point.. “Commercialization of aviation safety technology”

Jipoint (CEO Jong-hyeok Moon) announced on the 10th that it has attracted strategic investment from JNP Global (CEO Ji-hwan Park). The investment contract was signed on the 9th at Shinhan Square Bridge (S1 Building) in Daejeon, and the two companies plan to continue cooperation in all stages, including product verification, market entry, and follow-up investment attraction.

G-Point is developing a safety pouch that combines airtight zipper technology and an automatically activated fire extinguishing agent pack to respond to the risk of fire caused by thermal runaway of auxiliary batteries in aircraft. The product is designed considering conditions such as high-altitude environments, closed cabin spaces, and the presence of multiple passengers, and is configured to suppress fires and block the spread of toxic gases even in the event of a lithium-ion battery explosion. It is characterized by the combined application of various special materials and fire extinguishing technologies.

Jipoint has currently completed its own product testing and is currently conducting performance tests with external expert organizations, with the goal of installing the product in actual aircraft by 2025. In the future, it is also considering expanding the technology to other industries, such as agricultural and food storage and transportation, by utilizing confidentiality and insulation performance.

Moon Jong-hyeok, CEO of GPoint, said, “We aim to make a practical contribution to aviation safety by commercializing a reliable response solution to auxiliary battery explosion accidents.”

Park Ji-hwan, CEO of JNP Global, said, “G-Point is a team with strengths in terms of technological perfection, market timing, and execution strategy,” and added, “We plan to continue providing support so that the technology can expand beyond aviation safety to various industrial fields.”
