Aurora Signs Strategic Business Agreement with GlobalTexfree

Fintech company Aurora (CEO Youngsoo Jang) announced on the 10th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Global Tax Free (CEO Jinwon Kang) to strengthen the competitiveness of its prepaid card service for foreigners, ‘NAMANE Card.’

According to the agreement, foreign tourists will be able to receive tax refunds at Global Tax Free kiosks installed at major tourist destinations nationwide and then immediately recharge the amount onto Aurora’s prepaid card, “Namane Card.” The Namane Card can be used like cash at offline stores nationwide, such as public transportation, department stores, convenience stores, and restaurants, so it is expected to improve the convenience of consumption for tourists.

Based on this collaboration, the two companies plan to ▲provide Namane Card charging services through Global Tax Free kiosks, ▲develop joint services targeting foreign tourists, and ▲expand marketing and services utilizing each company’s infrastructure and affiliates.

The representatives of both companies announced their plan to strengthen service convergence and synergy within the tourism industry through this collaboration. Aurora CEO Jang Young-soo emphasized, “This is a user-centered innovation that connects the consumption journey of foreign tourists with a single card,” and Global Tax Free CEO Kang Jin-won said, “Through the combination of the two companies’ services, we will be able to enhance not only business competitiveness but also convenience for foreign tourists.”
