Fortitumaru signs MOU with Hanpass

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) startup 42Maru (CEO Dong-Hwan Kim) announced on the 11th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with global financial platform company Hanpass (CEO Kyung-Hoon Kim) for the joint development of AI customer response and lifestyle information services specialized for foreigners.

This agreement aims to build an advanced AI-based customer center and lifestyle portal service for foreign customers by combining FortiTumaru’s language model and generative AI technology with Hanpass’s foreign customer base and platform operation capabilities. The two companies plan to pursue joint business models in various fields such as automatic response systems, customized lifestyle information guidance, and financial and non-financial integrated services.

FortiTumaru plans to apply AI technology across the Hanpass platform to develop functions such as customer response automation, FAQ generation, foreign language support, and interactive guidance based on usage history. Through this, the company aims to simultaneously improve customer center operational efficiency and user convenience.

Based on this collaboration, the two companies plan to jointly plan and operate a new foreign life portal service as a new business, and expand cooperation across all areas of related commercialization, marketing, technology, and operations.

A Portitumaru official said, “We expect that through this collaboration, we will be able to make real progress in providing customized AI services to foreigners residing in Korea.”
