Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) announced on the 11th that investment company Green Base (CEO Yang Shin-hyeon) signed a business agreement with CR Co., Ltd. and will begin building a status diagnosis and management system that applies artificial intelligence (AI) technology to electric bus charging data.
Greenbase is a solution company specializing in diagnosing, evaluating, and predicting the performance and safety of electric vehicle batteries, and through this agreement, it will expand the scope of its technology application to the large vehicle battery sector. While developing the basic software required for operating electric bus batteries, the company also plans to introduce functions that use AI algorithms to predict failures, abnormalities, fires, and lifespans in the future.
Our partner, CR Co., Ltd., is a company with 11 Busan transportation companies as shareholders, specializing in electric bus and taxi control and charging station operation based on IoT sensor platforms. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to increase the efficiency and stability of the electric bus battery operation management system.
The newly constructed system collects battery status information on electric buses in real time through chargers, and applies AI algorithms to the collected big data to evaluate, diagnose, and predict batteries and the entire system. This is expected to enable more advanced and stable battery management.
Greenbase CEO Yang Shin-hyun said, “We will continue to secure data-based AI technology in the renewable energy sector, such as electric vehicle battery reuse and energy storage systems (ESS).”
