COSPO Selects 13 Startup Teams to Participate in '2025 Busan Slushid'

Korea Startup Forum (Chairman Sangwoo Han, hereinafter referred to as KOSPO) announced on the 11th that it held a pre-pitching competition at Notice in Jung-gu, Busan on July 9th and 10th ahead of the '2025 Busan Slush'D' and selected 13 startup teams to participate in the main event.

The 2025 Busan Slushid will be held on July 26th and 27th on board the Panstar Miracle, which departs from Busan Port. Breaking away from conventional conference spaces such as convention centers or startup hubs, the event will be held on the sea, utilizing Busan’s regional characteristics to strengthen the organic connection between programs and increase participant immersion. This event is sponsored by the Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Technology Startup Investment Center, Panstar, Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pusan National University Startup Support Group, Mission Law Firm, Korea Southern Power, and the Korea Development Bank.

Startup pitching is a session to meet local innovative ideas that solve local problems. Since last June, we have been openly recruiting for 'Slush'D 10', which targets early startups in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, and 'Slush'D Youth', which college students and prospective entrepreneurs can participate in, and through document evaluation and pitching screening, we have finally selected 13 startups to participate in the main event.

A total of 10 teams were selected for Slushid 10. ▲Nanukiworld (educational travel platform for students from ODA countries), ▲DLive (sustainable economic driving guidance system based on vehicle ECU data), ▲Meshlink (semiconductor education platform using XR equipment), ▲Softsquared (subscription collaboration platform for development teams), ▲Skycube (fintech solution for digital assetization of the airspace), ▲C-Life Science Lab (deep tech and AI-based solution for optimizing distribution of seafood products), ▲Journeymedi (agentic AI-based medical tourism platform), ▲Kifu (development of an automatically inflatable air flotation system), ▲Paros Marine (development of an eco-friendly ship propulsion system and infrastructure based on hydrogen-electricity), and ▲Fore (archiving-based target marketing solution) were named. All teams that advance will be provided with various benefits, such as the opportunity to participate in the main event and promotion through the official 2025 Busan Slushid channels.

On this day, Paros Marine was selected and received a prize of 3 million won as a special prize for winning. Also, Kifu is a college student team that presented a startup idea at the previous year's Slushid Youth League, and this year, they were selected as one of the Slushid 10, showing their growth journey as a startup representing Busan Slushid.

Slushid Youth had a total of 10 college student startup teams that passed the document evaluation participate in the preliminary pitching presentation. As a result of the evaluation, 3 teams were finally selected: ▲IOIO (Farmers and Veterinarians Connecting Platform), ▲OASIS (Development of Waterborne Response Robot for Oil Spill Accidents), and ▲CHARIM (Development of Coffee Ground Biochar Cat Litter). In addition to participating in the main event held on the cruise, the 3 teams will be given opportunities such as the group and 1:1 matching program 'Busan Slushid Meetup' and networking with domestic and international senior entrepreneurs. Oasis was selected as the best team of Slushid Youth and was awarded a prize of 1 million won.

Han Sang-woo, Chairman of COSP, said, “I am delighted to be able to introduce promising innovative companies that will take charge of the future of the region at this year’s event as well,” and “This event held on board a ship will provide an opportunity to attract actual investment and lead to growth through dense networking between startups and investors.”
