Sookmyung Women's University's Big Data Innovation Convergence Business Group signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Seodaemun Women's Human Resources Development Center to strengthen the big data capabilities of local women.
The signing ceremony held on July 8th at Sookmyung Women's University's Myeongsin Hall was attended by officials from Sookmyung Women's University's Big Data Innovation Convergence Business Group and Seodaemun Women's Human Resources Development Center. This agreement aims to support the social reintegration of women who have taken a career break, ease barriers to entry into the big data field, and enhance employment and entrepreneurship competitiveness by strengthening analysis capabilities.
The two organizations plan to cooperate in fostering female experts in big data convergence, developing and operating joint education programs, and supporting women on career breaks. In particular, they plan to provide customized education content to users to contribute to raising awareness and eliminating gaps in the fields of data science and big data.
This agreement is the second case of cooperation between Sookmyung Women's University and a local women's human resources development center, following the cooperation signed with the Yongsan-gu Women's Human Resources Development Center last year. It is part of the 'Cutting-edge Field Innovation Convergence University (COSS) Project' promoted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, and aims to foster key talents in cutting-edge new technology fields such as big data and artificial intelligence.
Sookmyung Women's University is participating in the Big Data Innovation Convergence University Consortium hosted by Seoul National University, and as the only women's university, it is developing female-friendly and highly effective educational content.
An official from Sookmyung Women’s University’s Big Data Innovation Convergence Business Group said, “In the era of digital transformation, the participation of female talent is important,” and “We will expand collaboration with regional women’s human resource development centers to create a sustainable education ecosystem.”
