The Korea Organ Donation Agency announced that it won the 'Organ Donation Social Contribution Category Grand Prize' at the '2025 Korea Respected Corporations, Organizations, People & Consumers' Favorite Brand Awards' held on July 11.

At this awards ceremony held at the Korea Press Center, Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do Special Self-Governing Province, Hampyeong-gun Council, Jeollanam-do, Starbucks Korea, Central Hospital of the Veterans Affairs Corporation, and Korea Organ Donation Agency were honored with awards.

The Korea Herald's Most Respected Corporate Institutional Figures & Consumers' Favorite Brand Awards is an awards ceremony hosted by The Herald Economy and The Korea Herald and organized by Monthly Power Korea (publisher Baek Jong-won). It was established by the Herald Media Group to discover and promote promising and excellent companies and brands that are preferred by many consumers, including respected corporations, institutions, and figures in Korea, both domestically and internationally.

The Korea Organ Donation Agency is the only domestic organ procurement organization and tissue donation support organization designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It has been selected as an award-winning organization in recognition of its efforts to contribute to the health of the nation by performing brain-dead organ donation and tissue donation work, and its activities to spread the culture of sharing life in various ways.

The Korea Organ Donation Agency operates a diagnostic laboratory medicine clinic (KODA LAB) that performs essential tests 24 hours a day to ensure rapid and accurate brain-dead organ donation. It also provides various family support services, such as self-help groups and memorial events through social workers, to provide emotional support for donors and their families.

Director Lee Sam-yeol of the Korea Organ Donation Agency said, “I hope that we can quickly create a social atmosphere where we can look back on how precious life is in our lives and consider donors and their bereaved families as heroes.”
