Meisa Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Japan's KDDI Corporation

Meissa Inc., a spatial information technology startup, announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for strategic collaboration with Japanese telecommunications giant KDDI CORPORATION. Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue joint technology demonstrations (PoCs) and commercialization, focusing on the Japanese market.

Meisa, a company that develops spatial information solutions leveraging drone and satellite data, is applying its technology to diverse fields, including digital transformation (DX) in construction sites, golf course management, and disaster risk monitoring. This agreement aims to establish a collaborative system that combines Meisa's technological prowess with KDDI's communications infrastructure to accelerate digital innovation across Japan's industries.

Based on this MOU, the two companies plan to expand their collaboration across various areas, including joint product development, technological collaboration, proof-of-concept (PoC) implementation, and joint promotion of new services. They will also explore potential business expansion opportunities, including the formation of an official distribution partnership.

In particular, by combining Meisa's artificial intelligence (AI)-based spatial information processing technology with KDDI's 5G and IoT network infrastructure, it is expected that work automation and optimization technology based on real-time, high-precision data will be implemented in construction and management sites.

“This collaboration is a significant opportunity for Meisa’s spatial information technology to support the digital transformation of industries across the Japanese market,” said Kim Young-hoon, Meisa’s Chief Business Officer. “Together with KDDI, we will achieve tangible results in various areas, including construction DX and golf course operation management.”
