Foodtech company Control M (CEO Won Jong-kwan) announced on the 15th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with franchise coffee brand Abaut Coffee (CEO Park Sang-woo) and will fully introduce the AI-based store operation solution 'RestoGenie'.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to promote the digitalization of various operational functions, such as ▲application of functions of AI store assistant ‘Resto Genie’ ▲sales analysis and marketing automation ▲work schedule optimization ▲delivery app linkage, and also provide education and system introduction support for franchisees.
Restozini is an AI solution in the form of RaaS (Restaurant as a Service) developed with the goal of improving operational efficiency in restaurants. It provides key functions required for store management in a single platform. Through this, it aims to reduce the operational burden on store owners and contribute to increased profitability.
Abaut Coffee is a coffee franchise that operates under the concept of 'Jeju's sensibility and urban practicality', and has over 60 stores nationwide. According to the Fair Trade Commission in 2023, it ranked 5th in sales per store among coffee franchises. It pursues improved profitability and customer satisfaction based on a collaborative system between the headquarters and franchisees.
Park Sang-woo, CEO of A-Baut Coffee, said, “This agreement was pursued in accordance with the strategic goal of transitioning to an AI-based smart franchise beyond the introduction of a system,” and added, “We are looking forward to a new operating model that will provide real benefits to both franchisees and customers.”
Won Jong-kwan, CEO of Control M, said, “It is very meaningful that we have signed our first MOU with a competitive franchise brand for Resto Genie,” and added, “We will continue to work with franchise headquarters to provide practical technical assistance to self-employed business owners through continuous development and support.”
