Series Ventures Conducts Seed Investment in 'Pet Station'

Series Ventures (CEO Park Jun-sang and Kwak Seong-wook) announced on the 16th that it has completed seed investment in Pet Station Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Hyeon-su), a startup planning a complex cultural space based on pet content.

Pet Station is a startup that aims to create a complex cultural space that combines pet-related content with offline spaces. Through this investment, it plans to remodel the 600m underground shopping mall from Suyeong Station to Gwangan Station in Busan into a 'companion pet cultural street'. The underground shopping mall has been vacant for a long time, but it is seeking to revitalize the local commercial district by creating a new theme space.

The first Pet Station, currently under construction, houses a variety of pet-related businesses, including a veterinary hospital, dog cafe, beauty salon, and kindergarten, and plans to diversify offline content in the future to expand into a tourism-type complex cultural space.

In addition, Pet Station has signed a business agreement (MOU) with a related company to provide technology-based services such as QR authentication and body temperature measurement for pets, and plans to build a digital-based infrastructure in the future, such as collecting customer data through verification and operating a reservation and payment system.

A Series Ventures official said, “Pet Station is a team with great strengths in terms of spatial content planning capabilities and customer acquisition strategies,” and evaluated it as “a potential model that can transform idle commercial areas into theme-based complex cultural spaces.”

Park Hyun-soo, CEO of Pet Station, said, “We will quickly check the market response through theme-based space planning and increase the synergy between content and space,” and “We plan to continuously pursue differentiation strategies to enhance brand competitiveness.”
