
Yeon Hyeon-ju, CEO of Living Research Institute, which operates the life care platform 'Cheongyeon (formerly Cleaning Research Institute, Cheongyeon Care)', received the Prime Minister's Award in the exemplary female entrepreneur category at the '2025 Women's Enterprise Meritorious Awards'. The award is hosted by the Korea Women's Economic Association and is given to companies and individuals who have contributed to the development of women's enterprises and the creation of a female-friendly management culture.
CEO Yeon Hyeon-ju was recognized for her contributions to expanding female employment, operating a worker-centered welfare system, and creating jobs for middle-aged and older women. The Living Research Institute has increased the percentage of female workers among all employees to 73.2% over the past three years and has contributed to job creation by training more than 170,000 cleaning managers.
In addition, the company was also recognized for its efforts to specialize its services by operating systematic education and standardized manuals to improve the quality of its cleaning services. It also operates a system to support work-life balance, such as providing all employees with 300,000 won worth of cleaning research institute service points per month. In addition, it is introducing various welfare policies to create a flexible work environment, such as long-term service leave of up to 30 days, birthday leave, flexible work hours, and working from home once a week.
The Living Research Institute also operates welfare support for external cleaning managers. It provides a mutual support fund of up to 2.4 million won per quarter to managers who have achieved a certain number of working hours, and also provides systems such as flu vaccination, damage compensation insurance, and support for hospital expenses in case of work-related injuries.
Representative Yeon said, “This award is a recognition of the Living Research Institute’s efforts to create jobs for women and improve working environments,” and added, “We will continue to create quality jobs with a sense of responsibility so that more women can work in a stable environment with respect.”
