
Detonic announced that it won the AI & DATA AWARD at the 2025 World Smart City Expo (WSCE) held at BEXCO in Busan from the 15th to the 17th.
WSCE is an international exhibition in the smart city field jointly hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Science and ICT, with over 300 companies from 70 countries around the world participating. Smart city-related technologies and services are shared, and the size of related contracts is known to have reached 1 trillion won as of last year.
Detonic has been participating in domestic and international smart city projects based on its AI-based data platform technology, and explained that this award is a recognition of the company's technological prowess contributing to solving real-world urban problems.
Detonic has been building smart city data infrastructure in cooperation with Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ulsan Metropolitan City, Incheon Metropolitan City, etc. through AI data platform D.Hub and on-device AI platform D.Edge. These cities were also selected as award-winning cities in related categories at this event.
With this award, Detonic plans to accelerate the expansion of global partnerships and overseas market entry. Data infrastructure is a key element of the AI ecosystem along with generative AI services such as ChatGPT and GPU hardware, and overseas, Palantir, ScaleAI, Snowflake, and Databricks are leading the related field.
