Gangwon Innovation Center and Korea Road Traffic Authority Sign Business Agreement

Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Hae-jeong, hereinafter referred to as Gangwon Innovation Center) announced on the 17th that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Road Traffic Authority (Chairman Kim Hee-joong) at the Gangwon Innovation Center to foster a startup ecosystem in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.

This agreement mainly focuses on mutual cooperation in discovering entrepreneurs in the field of traffic safety, creating an environment for sustainable growth, and cooperating on overseas verification support projects to help startups enter overseas markets.

In particular, through this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly promote the '2025 One-Stop Export Environment Construction Project in the Traffic Safety Sector' to provide diversified support for the growth of local startups.

This project provides a comprehensive export support program for 10 traffic safety-related companies that have been in business for less than 10 years, and consists of a total of 10 items: ▲Overseas demonstration project funding support (up to 10 million won for 2 companies) ▲Basic training for overseas expansion ▲Provision of market information by country ▲Promotion and marketing funding support ▲Customized consulting for companies ▲Provision of patents held by the Korea Road Traffic Authority ▲Support for registration in the SME Technology Market ▲Support for business consultations with foreign buyers ▲Establishment of a global network ▲Aftercare.

Business applications will be accepted from July 21 to August 18, 2025, and applications can be submitted via the KOROAD Traffic Safety Overseas Expansion Support Center email address (ODA@koroad.or.kr).

Lee Hae-jeong, CEO of Gangwon Innovation Center, said, “Through close cooperation with the Korea Road Traffic Authority, we will spare no effort in providing systematic support so that startups in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province can successfully settle into domestic and overseas markets,” and “We hope that this agreement will serve as an important foundation for building an innovative startup environment in the Gangwon region and contributing to the development of the local economy.”
