Green Plus Signs 5.5 Billion Won 'Smart Farm Supply Contract' with Samtori

Green Plus , a smart farm specialist company, announced that it signed a smart farm supply contract worth a total of 5.5 billion won with Samtori, an agricultural corporation.

This contract is for the construction of a smart farm for tomato cultivation measuring 4,450 pyeong (approximately 14,710 m2) in Galsan-ri, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and is scheduled for completion in July 2025.

According to Green Plus, including this contract, a total of 26.5 billion won worth of new smart farm contracts have been won in the private sector alone in the past three months. The company explained, “As the government and local governments continue to support smart farms, private demand is also rapidly expanding.” It added, “As the private sector orders continue to increase, we will be able to achieve our best performance this year.”

Green Plus is a leader in the design and construction of smart farms based on glass greenhouses in Korea, and is promoting the advancement of facility horticulture based on complex environmental control technology, energy efficiency design, and crop-specific smart control solutions.

The government is fostering smart farms as a future growth industry in agriculture, and is promoting major policies such as expanding youth-led smart farms, creating smart farm innovation valleys, and establishing global test beds. Accordingly, it is analyzed that the demand for investment in large-scale facility-type smart farms is gradually increasing in the private sector as well.

As damage to open-field agriculture is repeated due to abnormal weather and heavy rain, the demand for smart farms that can produce stable crops and manage quality is also increasing. Green Plus plans to contribute to the transition to smart agriculture based on its comprehensive capabilities covering construction, design, and operation technologies in response to these environmental changes.
