Owens Group Co., Ltd. was selected as the supplier for the service project 'Support for Operation of Attendance Management Program for Participating Companies in the 2025 Gyeonggi-do 4.5-Day Pilot Project' announced at the end of April. Owens Group was finally selected as the supplier by proposing 'Owen'sCube', its SaaS-based attendance management service.
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are currently promoting the "2025 Gyeonggi Province 4.5-Day Workweek Pilot Project" to promote the introduction of flexible work systems such as the 4.5-day workweek, and signed a business agreement (MOU) with a total of 68 participating companies, including 67 private companies selected in the first round and the Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency, a public institution of Gyeonggi Province, on June 19 with the attendance of Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon. Gyeonggi Province announced that it expanded the recruitment target to include mid-sized companies, reflecting the high interest from companies in the first round of recruitment, and selected an additional 47 companies through the second round of recruitment.
Currently, many participating companies are operating a 4.5-day workweek by introducing Owens Group's 'Owens Cube'. Owens Group (CEO Baek Gwang-jin) provides various systems necessary for corporate work such as groupware, ERP, attendance management, and personnel evaluation, and also performs customized development optimized for the client's work process. In particular, as an attendance management specialist, it has a track record of integrating attendance management functions in embedded form within groupware and ERP systems and supplying them to approximately 400 companies.
Meanwhile, companies participating in this pilot project will operate by reducing working hours by choosing from various types of flexible work systems, such as ▲4.5-day workweek ▲35-hour workweek ▲4-day workweek every other week ▲mixed work system, based on autonomous agreement between labor and management. However, wages should not be reduced despite the reduction in working hours, and Gyeonggi Province will differentially support a portion of wages according to the reduced working hours. In addition, consulting for establishing reduced working hours, establishment of attendance management system, and usage fees will be supported, up to a limit of 20 million won per company.
