Green Umbrella Daegu Regional Headquarters Signs Agreement with Two Local Social Welfare Centers to Support Children in Family Care

The Daegu Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation (Director Moon Hee-young) announced on the 22nd that it signed a business agreement with Dongchon Integrated Social Welfare Center (Director Jeong Byeong-ju) and Seonrin Integrated Social Welfare Center (Director Choi Yu-ho) to promote cooperative projects to support children in need of family care in the Daegu region.

The agreement signing ceremony was held at the Daegu Regional Headquarters of Green Umbrella, and was attended by Director Moon Hee-young, Director Jeong Byeong-ju (Chairman of the Daegu Social Welfare Center Association), Director Choi Yu-ho, and Director Lee Seung-hee (Director of the Wolseong Integrated Social Welfare Center) of the Daegu Social Welfare Center Association.

This agreement aims to ease the burden of care for children in family care and establish a regional customized support system to create a healthy growth environment. Green Umbrella will provide 16 million won to Dongchon Welfare Center and 4 million won to Seonrin Welfare Center, for a total of 20 million won in project expenses, and the two organizations will operate support programs tailored to each child's situation through the discovery and counseling of high-risk family care children and the provision of integrated services.

Jeong Byeong-ju, the director of Dongchon Community Welfare Center, said, “I would like to thank Green Umbrella for their continued interest in children in need of family care, and we will work closely with local community welfare centers to improve child welfare.”

Moon Hee-young, the head of the Daegu Regional Headquarters of Green Umbrella, said, “Green Umbrella is actively promoting the discovery of children in need of family care and integrated case management support based on public-private cooperation,” and “We will work with local organizations to create a stable care environment so that children in welfare blind spots are not neglected.”
