
Samyang Round Square Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Seok-hoon) and Jeju Startup Association (Chairman Yang Il-seok) signed a business agreement (MOU) to strengthen Jeju startup capabilities at Samyang Round Square headquarters on the 18th.
Through this agreement, both parties plan to build a sustainable growth model for startups by combining Samyang Round Square’s global distribution network, marketing strategy, and manufacturing know-how with Jeju Startup Association’s regional network of innovative startup companies.
The agreement specifies seven areas of cooperation, including ▲joint planning events and social value expansion activities ▲problem-solving innovation projects to resolve regional issues ▲joint development of new products and services utilizing global distribution networks ▲promotion of collaborative marketing and campaigns ▲investment and acceleration of promising startups ▲joint R&D and open innovation based on food tech.
Jang Seok-hoon, CEO of Samyang Round Square, said, “If the innovative technologies of Jeju regional startups and our global network meet, we will be able to open new horizons for the food tech industry,” adding, “We will strengthen cooperation under the ESG principles of pursuing coexistence and social value.”
Yang Il-seok, Chairman of Jeju Startup Association (CEO of Earnest Marketing), also said, “We will establish a model of coexistence between large corporations and the region and provide various support and opportunities so that promising Jeju startups can leap into the global market,” adding, “I hope this MOU will become a good example of balanced regional development.”
