-Medical-based functional insole developed directly by an orthopedic foot specialist from Seoul Asan Hospital
– Self-adjusting system that allows customization of foot arch height
– Application of patented technology based on clinical data… Supports plantar fascia heel protection and gait correction

On the 22nd, Pureuncheongnyeon Co., Ltd. (CEO Eunsu Park), a healthcare startup founded by an orthopedic foot specialist, announced that it has newly introduced the 'Dr. PODI Arch Insole', a functional insole developed directly based on clinical data at its Barun Doctor Research Institute.
According to data from the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, the number of patients receiving treatment for plantar fasciitis increased by about 2.5 times over the past 10 years, from about 106,000 in 2011 to about 265,000 in 2021. As the number of patients with foot diseases such as plantar fasciitis and flat feet continues to increase, the demand for foot health management aids is actually increasing as the number of cases of pain in the soles and heels of the feet increases.
'Doctor Fordy', which reflects actual clinical experience, features a 'self arch block system' that allows users to freely adjust the shape of their feet and arch height. It is also designed to reduce the burden on the feet when walking and maintain comfort even when worn for long periods of time by using Poron material with high shock absorption and resilience. In particular, the technology has been patented as a 'functional insole' and has been recognized for its structural stability.
Dr. Fordy was developed for consumers who could not find a suitable alternative between expensive customized medical insoles and low-priced products with unclear effects. It can be adjusted according to the shape of the individual's foot, and it can help relieve pain in the soles and heels of the feet and correct gait for each user. It is explained that if worn for a certain period of time, the muscles in the feet and ankles will be realigned, and the leg alignment will be improved. In particular, it is advised that an adaptation period of about 1 to 2 weeks is required in the beginning, and that you must wear it consistently during this period to properly feel the correction effect and muscle alignment changes.
Eun-soo Park, a former orthopedic foot specialist at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, has been conducting research and development to solve the difficulties patients experience in choosing insoles based on her clinical experience treating foot diseases. The newly released Dr. Fordy functional insoles are products designed by reflecting patient cases and medical data, and are a form that complements the high prices of existing customized insoles and the limitations of general products.
CEO Park Eun-soo said, “Feet are shaped differently for each person, and it is difficult to see sufficient improvement effects with just generalized products,” and “We developed Doctor Fordy to provide a more realistic alternative based on clinical data and patient experiences.” CEO Park also added, “The product can help relieve pain and correct walking posture according to the shape of each individual’s feet, and in the future, we plan to develop it into a smart insole product that enables data-based health management like a smartwatch to provide a more accurate and convenient foot health solution.”
Meanwhile, CEO Park also runs a YouTube channel called 'Balchaeksupplement' to help people understand foot diseases. The channel provides practical information such as shoe recommendations for each disease and shoe reviews that he personally purchased.
