Vision AI specialist company SeeLab (CEO Se-hyeok Yoon and Jeong-hwan Chae) and GMP and validation consulting specialist Biosupport (CEO Kyung-min Kim) announced on the 23rd that they signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) for the joint development of AI solutions for manufacturing quality control in the pharmaceutical and bio industries.
This agreement aims to develop an AI platform specialized for the bio and pharmaceutical industries and promote AI GMP joint projects by combining Seelab’s AI image analysis technology and Biosupport’s GMP quality system consulting capabilities.
The two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated platform that detects and analyzes worker hygiene management and quality abnormalities in real time in pharmaceutical and bio manufacturing processes by combining Biosupport’s GMP design and validation technology with Cilab’s AI hygiene quality management solution, ‘XAIVA ON-DEVICE.’
In addition, Biosupport will support sales and verification targeting pharmaceutical and bio companies as an official reseller of 'XAIVA ON-DEVICE', and the two companies plan to promote the expansion of the AI-based smart GMP market.
Seelab's 'XAIVA ON-DEVICE' analyzes whether workers are wearing sanitary clothing and their movements within 1 second through AI object detection and tracking technology, and applies lightweight AI models to mobile kiosks to maintain high performance even on low-spec hardware.
Biosupport has carried out over 1,200 projects over the past 25 years, including global GMP, validation, and GMP plant concept design consulting, and is recently expanding its digital innovation consulting in line with the increasing demand for GMP-based smart factory conversion.
Yoon Se-hyeok, CEO of C-Lab, said, “Vision AI technology can dramatically improve on-site automation and quality control in the GMP industry,” and added, “We will work with Biosupport to create an AI manufacturing innovation model for the pharmaceutical and bio industries.”
Kim Kyung-min, CEO of Biosupport, said, “We will implement innovation that goes beyond the limitations of existing manufacturing processes by integrating GMP expertise and Vision AI technology,” adding, “This agreement will be a significant turning point in making pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing sites smart and securing global competitiveness.”
