ASEM SME Eco-friendly Innovation Center Signs Business Agreement with SK AX

The ASEM SME Eco-Friendly Innovation Center (ASEIC, Chairman Kwang-Cheon Jeong) announced that it signed a business agreement with SK AX (CEO Poong-Young Yoon) on the 18th at the SK AX headquarters in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do to support the transition to carbon neutrality of SMEs. The signing ceremony was attended by ASEIC Chairman Kwang-Cheon Jeong, SK AX Global/Manufacturing Division Head Min-Hyeok Kim, and other officials from both sides.

According to the agreement, ASEIC will utilize SK AX’s ESG integrated management platform ‘Click ESG’ to provide greenhouse gas inventory management solutions free of charge to ASEIC business participating companies and support carbon reduction target setting and implementation plan establishment and management. In addition, the two organizations plan to promote joint education seminar operation to spread the solution.

Through this cooperation, both sides plan to support small and medium-sized enterprises to proactively respond to the carbon reduction demand in the global supply chain, and jointly explore future ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) regional advancement and related linkage programs. This cooperation case will be introduced as an official agenda item at the ASEIC International Working Group meeting scheduled to be held in Jeju Island in September.

ASEIC is an international cooperation organization established with the goal of expanding cooperation and exchanges in environmentally friendly technologies among ASEM member countries. It operates various programs, including education, consulting, and technology transfer, targeting approximately 470 small and medium-sized enterprises, and contributes to responding to climate change.
