AI-based smart logistics platform company Wemit Mobility has teamed up with food distribution specialist Foodist to build a control system for emergency vehicles (chartered vehicles) that may occur during delivery. The two companies plan to increase the stability and accuracy of chartered vehicle operation by monitoring real-time delivery status.
Foodist, an affiliate of Sajo Group, is a B2B food distribution company that supplies food ingredients safely and accurately to approximately 11,000 restaurant and catering clients through six logistics centers nationwide.
This collaboration started from the need for a system that can automatically check whether delivery has been completed or its progress due to the increase in volume and the nature of emergency vehicles (chartered vehicles) that occur in exceptional situations during operation.
WeMeetMobility has introduced a function that automatically inputs the arrival and completion status when a delivery vehicle reaches the destination in its AI logistics optimization solution, ROOUTY. While minimizing driver intervention, operators can check the delivery status in real time. Whether the app is installed or not and the GPS activation status are also automatically checked, improving control accuracy. A function to check incomplete deliveries by time zone has also been added.
In the case of food delivery, accurate delivery control is not only the core of quality control, but also the basis for responding quickly and flexibly to emergency situations that may occur during delivery. It is expected that the introduction of this system will increase both customer satisfaction and internal operational efficiency. WeMeetMobility said, “We plan to expand the application of the system to various industries through this collaboration.”
