NewenAI (NewenAI, CEO Bae Seong-hwan), a company specializing in big data analysis based on generative AI, announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the implementing agency for the 'Design Industry Technology Development' R&D project promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and will participate in the 'Development of Technology to Support the Establishment of Design Strategies Based on Unstructured User Data'.
This project will be carried out for a total of 45 months (from April 2025 to December 2028) and a total project cost of approximately 5.2 billion won will be invested. It will be hosted by the Gangwon Design Promotion Agency and jointly developed by Rotem, Daegu Gyeongbuk Design Promotion Agency, and Newen AI.
The purpose of this project is to develop a K-design strategy establishment support platform that can be utilized throughout the entire design development cycle by integrating generative AI and design user data. The detailed tasks are ▲ collection and analysis of unstructured user data generated and utilized throughout the design cycle ▲ application of AI technology necessary for deriving design strategies ▲ development of a 'design industry-specific generative AI' that can dramatically reduce the effectiveness of the derived design strategies and cost and time. The goal is to systematically provide core user data to support designers' decision-making, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of design strategy establishment.
The core of this project is to establish the foundation for design strategy establishment by applying generative AI technology, and NewenAI plays a key role in developing and applying AI to be used throughout the entire design cycle. The reason this project is attracting attention is because there is a growing demand for design innovation, such as design concept development, data-based decision-making enhancement, and shortened development periods by applying generative AI technology to the entire design process.
