Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Oh Deuk-chang, hereinafter referred to as the 'Sejong Center') announced that it held the '2025 Hangul Artist Village Creation Project Selection Ceremony' at the Lycon Town Sejong branch on Wednesday, July 23.

This event was held as part of the 'Hangeul Artist Village Creation Project' that integrated the 'Hangeul Content Entrepreneur Support Project' and the 'Hangeul Mokkoji Culture Expansion Project Support Project'. Around 30 people including selected companies, Sejong City Hall, Sejong Cultural Foundation, Cultural Space Research Institute, and other related organizations attended the event, and it became an opportunity to share expectations and a will to cooperate for the creation of a regional startup ecosystem and revitalization of cultural activities centered on the Hangeul culture industry.

In the first part of the event, a welcoming speech by Sejong Center CEO Oh Deuk-chang was given, followed by a certificate awarding ceremony and a group photo session. In the second part, CEO Cho Ji-young of Cultural Space Research Institute gave a special lecture on the topic of “Utilizing Regional Branding through Understanding Items and Content,” allowing attendees to gain practical insights into concretizing the direction of content production, commercialization, and cultural expansion activities.

A Sejong Center official said, “This inauguration ceremony was a meaningful starting point for entrepreneurs and cultural activity entities based on the value of Hangeul to interact and cooperate,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the Hangeul cultural industry, which embodies Sejong’s identity and creativity, so that it can become the foundation for sustainable regional innovation.”
