
The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) held the 'Startup 815 IR – Seongnam Pangyo High R&D Startup Promotion Council' at the Pangyo Startup Zone on the 24th and began providing investment-linked support for promising startups in the artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor fields in the Seongnam Pangyo region.
This event is a core program of the 'Seongnam Pangyo High R&D Startup Promotion Council', a public-private cooperative network formed to foster technology-based startups, and aims to promote practical connections between promising startups and investors and increase the possibility of commercialization. A total of nine organizations are participating in the council, including the Gyeonggi Eastern Branch of the Small and Medium Business Administration, ▲Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, ▲Seongnam Industrial Promotion Agency, ▲Gyeonggi Industry-Academia Convergence Institute, ▲Korea Industrial Intelligence Association, ▲Technology Guarantee Fund Pangyo Branch, ▲IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, ▲Woori Bank, and ▲Hana Bank. The council operates customized programs for startups in the fields of AI, semiconductors, and biohealth, and supports the sustainable growth of the Seongnam Pangyo startup ecosystem.
This IR was attended by four startups recommended by the council and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center. The participating companies are ▲‘Marknova’, which provides AI-based senior healthcare services, ▲‘Cornerstone 42’, which develops AI data platform solutions, ▲‘OpenLabs’, which operates an open source-based AI no-code development platform, and ▲‘AnalogAI’, which is developing an ultra-low-power in-memory-based AI semiconductor.
'Startup 815 IR' operated by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center is a representative investment linkage program in which 220 startups and 399 investors have participated as of 2024, and 47 of these companies have succeeded in attracting a total of 53.4 billion won in investment.
An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “This IR is not a simple corporate announcement, but a program designed to lay the foundation for actual investment,” and added, “We will continue to provide support so that startups with high growth potential can secure funds in a timely manner and accelerate the commercialization of their technologies.” He added, “We will strengthen the public-private cooperation model centered on the council so that startups in the Seongnam Pangyo area with strengths in cutting-edge industries such as AI, semiconductors, and bio can gain global competitiveness.”
