KNS INC (CEO Jin Byeong-wook) announced that it received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the '2025 ICT Fund Next Awards' held in Yongsan, Seoul on the 25th.
The 'ICT Fund Next Awards', hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and organized by the Korea Communications Commission (KCA), is an event designed to select companies that have created excellent results based on ICT fund projects and discover ICT leaders.
At this event, KNSINC succeeded in developing a satellite communication antenna for an ultra-small, ultra-light unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) through an ICT fund support project, and was awarded a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT in recognition of its unique technological prowess.
The satellite communication antenna for ultra-small and ultra-light unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) developed by KNSIC is a key equipment that solves the communication distance limitation problem of existing RF communication, and maximizes the efficiency of surveillance and reconnaissance work. In addition, it pioneered a new field by developing a product that did not exist before, and through this, it contributed to the realization of social value including the creation of local jobs, such as hiring 28 new employees last year, which was also reflected in the award factors.
Jin Byeong-wook, CEO of KNS INC, said, “With the development of the newly released flat-panel satellite communication antenna, we are securing a new growth engine as a specialized low-orbit satellite communication company,” and “We will always strive to be a company that leads the ICT industry in Korea.”
