May I, selected as 'Post Tips' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Mayi Inc. (CEO Chan-gyu Kim), which operates the store analysis AI solution 'mAsh', announced on the 28th that it was finally selected for the 'Post-TIPS' support project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

PostTips is a scale-up program that additionally supports startups with excellent technology and growth potential among companies that graduated from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' representative startup support program 'TIPS'. MayI was selected for this program in recognition of the technological innovation and global expansion potential of its visitor analysis AI solution 'MASH'. Selected companies will receive up to 700 million won in government research and development funds for 18 months.

Mayi's flagship product, 'Mash', is a solution that precisely measures visitors' reactions, movement paths, dwell time, and interactions with employees by analyzing in-store CCTV footage. It is used to establish marketing strategies, improve customer experience, and increase store operation efficiency by applying deep learning-based algorithms, and is currently being introduced and operated by various companies such as LG U+ and CGV.

Compared to existing manual surveys or WiFi sensor methods, it has secured competitiveness in terms of high accuracy and effectiveness, and May-I's edge computing technology is designed to comply with major global regulations such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Artificial Intelligence Regulation Act (AI Act). Based on this, May-I is supplying solutions to overseas stores such as the US, UK, and Vietnam and accumulating actual operation data.

In the future, MayI plans to provide custom reports and analysis templates through the advancement of 'mAsh Insights' combined with conversational AI functions, and to accelerate its penetration into overseas markets by expanding collaboration with global brands.

CEO Kim Chan-gyu said, “Through being selected by PostTips, MayI’s technological prowess and global expansion potential have been recognized,” and added, “We will continue to innovate in the retail tech field and strengthen our position in the global market.”
