Gyeongbuk Center, 'Local Creator Networking in Daegu' held

Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Joo-Hyeon Yoo, hereinafter referred to as Gyeongbuk Center) held ‘Local Creator Networking in Daegu’ at Daegu Scale-Up Hub on July 21.

This event was planned with the goal of increasing local entrepreneurs’ understanding of investment and expanding the foundation for collaboration, and also included a collaborative network with the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, which operates startup incubation companies in the agricultural and food sector.

In the first part of the event, CEO Min Wook-jo of CSP Co., Ltd. gave a lecture on the topic of ‘Investment Basics and Maintenance Strategies.’ CEO Min explained investment attraction strategies that are feasible in the local startup environment, as well as key points that are often overlooked in IR, based on case studies.

In the second part, a roundtable-style group mentoring session was held with Lee Tae-ho, CEO of Wingwing Co., Ltd., and Kang Kyung-hwan, CEO of Film Production Company, as mentors. Participants were able to ask questions directly to the mentors at close range and had in-depth discussions about concerns they face in the startup field and growth strategies.

In addition, time was also set aside to explore the possibility of collaboration between local entrepreneurs through networking with officials from the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency and childcare companies.

One local entrepreneur who participated in the event said, “I used to think that investment was only for some startups, but this program allowed me to see the potential for regional businesses to grow through investment,” and “Through expert lectures and advice centered on real-life cases, I was able to specifically recognize the importance of preparatory factors and strategic approaches that I need to consider in future business operations.”

An official from the Gyeongbuk Center said, “This program was designed to provide an opportunity for local creators to more specifically recognize the need for investment and IR and think about their own growth direction,” adding, “We will continue to provide networking and support programs that provide practical help so that local entrepreneurs can connect with the investment ecosystem based on their content and business capabilities.”
