Daeryun Law Firm Signs Business Agreement with Bridgeway IP Law Firm

Daeryun Law Firm has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bridgeway IP Law Group, PLLC, a law firm specializing in intellectual property rights in the United States, and will begin providing full-scale support for global intellectual property (IP) strategies for domestic companies.

The signing ceremony, held on the 23rd at the Yeouido branch office of Daeryun Seoul Headquarters, was attended by key figures including Daeryun CEO Kim Kook-il, Bridgeway IP partner attorney Corey Shin, and attorney David Jung.

Bridgeway IP is an intellectual property law firm based in Virginia, USA, specializing in patent, trademark, design, and copyright filing and related litigation and legal services. The firm’s experts include US patent attorneys, former USPTO examiners, US law school professors, and PhD-level technology experts. Based on their expertise in technology fields such as IT, AI, software, semiconductors, telecommunications, automobiles, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and heavy equipment, they have successfully represented domestic and foreign companies, universities, national research institutes, and startups.

Through this agreement, Daeryun will provide multi-dimensional advice linked to business strategies, such as domestic clients’ US patent applications, overseas IP licensing, overseas clinical trials, manufacturing/distribution contract review, technology-based M&A, and IP consulting advice related to investment attraction. In addition, Daeryun plans to cooperate in precisely evaluating the value of IP portfolios and eliminating potential risks in advance.

In addition, the two companies plan to continue cooperation in various areas, such as ▲prior technology analysis and IP strategy consulting in the early stages of R&D along with Korean and US applications, ▲provision of patent attorney opinions in preparation for IP due diligence and value assessment in technology-based M&As, and ▲drafting of invalidity, infringement/non-infringement, and FTO (Freedom to Operate) opinions in patent trials and infringement lawsuits at the US Patent Office and court levels.

“Korean innovative companies possess excellent original or advanced technologies,” said Corey Shin, partner attorney at Bridgeway IP. “Through cooperation with Daeryun, which is emerging as a global mega law firm, we will actively support Korean companies so that the value of their technologies can be properly recognized.”

Daeryun CEO Kim Kook-il said, “IP assets are already a key management element that determines a company’s survival and value,” adding, “Through this collaboration, we will continue to provide practical support so that domestic companies can strengthen their capabilities to enter the global market and respond to disputes, while also serving as a strong shield so that they can effectively respond to risks and expand into the global market.”
