On June 10, Mine Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Elim), a startup company developing Korean language education content, signed a content provision agreement (MOU) with EM Academy, an educational institution for foreigners located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.
EM Academy is the largest Korean language education institution for foreign students and immigrants in the Ansan area, providing language education to learners of various nationalities and ages. Through this agreement, Mine plans to apply its K-POP-based Korean language education application, textbooks, and lecture content to the academy’s classes, and continue to improve the content based on on-site feedback.
An official from EM Academy stated, “Compared to the existing grammar-centered repetitive learning, this content is effective in stimulating learners’ interest, and the response from MZ generation international students and second and third generation immigrants is particularly positive.”
Mine's Korean language education service 'Babblee' is a simulation game-style learning platform centered around the growth story of K-POP idols, and provides a curriculum organized step by step from basic spelling to real-life conversation. It is designed to allow learners to naturally learn Korean while developing virtual idol characters, and is characterized by high immersion.
“With this agreement with EM Academy, we plan to expand the scope of our cooperation with domestic and international language schools and educational institutions,” said Mine Kim Elim COO. “We plan to expand our business area to B2B and public institutions (B2G) channels based on customized content that reflects field-oriented feedback.”
