Willog (CEO Bae Sung-hoon and Yoon Ji-hyun), an IoT and AI-based supply chain intelligence solution company, announced on July 29 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Army Supply Depot (Chief Baek Jae-cheol) to strengthen digital transformation and cooperation in the military logistics system.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to promote technological exchanges, consultations, and joint research to advance military smart logistics, gradually expanding the scope of their collaboration. Willog will leverage its advanced ICT-based logistics technology to provide technical advice and information on the Army's logistics operations.
The Army Supply Depot, an Army agency responsible for overseeing logistics support, has recently introduced cutting-edge equipment, including unmanned forklifts and autonomous mobile robots (AGVs), to improve logistics efficiency. Last year, its unit, the 1st Supply Group, became the first in the entire military to receive Smart Logistics Center certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Willog provides real-time monitoring and environmental data analysis services for the entire logistics process, leveraging IoT devices and proprietary AI analytics. By collecting and analyzing diverse data that impact cargo conditions, including location, temperature, humidity, and air quality, Willog offers solutions that minimize logistics risks and enhance operational efficiency. Currently, Willog's technology is being utilized across diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and distribution.
Willog said that through this agreement, it plans to contribute to the digital transformation of the military logistics system and to expand cooperation with other military branches, such as the Navy and Air Force, in the future.
