Diligent Company and Kona I Sign ‘Kona Plate’ Service Agreement

Diligent Company (CEO Joo-Hwan Kim), a fintech startup targeting children and teenagers, announced on the 29th that it has signed a service contract for 'Kona Plate' with fintech specialist Kona I (CEO Jeong-Il Jo) and will move forward with enhancing its financial learning service based on actual payment experience.

Through this agreement, Diligent Company will integrate Kona I's prepaid payment infrastructure into its platform, BuzyRun, allowing children and adolescents to acquire financial management skills through real-world payments. The two companies will jointly pursue various collaborative projects, including issuing prepaid cards specifically for children and adolescents, parent-linked spending management features, and demonstration programs for local governments and educational institutions.

Kona I's "KonaPlate" is a payment infrastructure platform that enables anyone to issue their own branded payment cards. It offers integrated functionality, from card issuance and design to production, delivery, rewards, settlement, and CRM. Its unique feature is its open API integration, enabling rapid deployment of payment services without upfront investment.

Diligent Company operates a lifestyle-based financial education service designed to help children develop the habit of earning and managing their own allowance through completing missions. Through this payment infrastructure integration, the company plans to launch a platform version that includes prepaid card functionality in the second half of 2025.

Kim Joo-hwan, CEO of Diligent Company, said, “Diligent is a platform designed to help children and teenagers develop financial sense through the process of spending real money,” and added, “We provide a fun and practical financial experience by incorporating AI-based mission recommendations and game elements, and we are considering entering overseas markets based on this collaboration.”

“Early financial education for children and adolescents is a crucial foundation for strengthening the capabilities of future financial consumers,” said Ryu Bong-soo, managing director of Kona I. “We will jointly develop an experiential financial education model that involves actual payments through Kona Plate’s flexible infrastructure.”
