
Aettech (CEO Taehyung Park) , a resource-recycling economy company, received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the '2025 ICT Fund Next Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Aettech has been advancing waste sorting technology that combines AI and robotics through ICT fund support projects. This award is a recognition of the technological achievements that have contributed to the digital transformation of the resource recycling industry.
At the event, Aettech CSO Ryu Jae-ho presented the current state of the domestic and international waste and recycling industries and strategies for building unmanned resource sorting centers. Aettech is revolutionizing the entire waste processing process through automation solutions, including the AI-based waste sorting robot "atron," the automated resource circulation platform "airo-mrf," and the integrated smart waste sorting unit "multi-tron." Currently, over 20 Aettech Atrons are installed and operating in private and public sorting facilities across Korea.
Aitech evaluated this award as an achievement in creating social value through technological innovation, and announced that it plans to continue to focus on creating a sustainable resource circulation ecosystem and expanding the global market.
Meanwhile, Aettech is receiving recognition for its technological prowess on the international stage, including winning a bronze medal at the 2025 Edison Awards and becoming the first Korean company to win the 2024 WIPO Global Awards, and is also accelerating its entry into overseas markets such as Vietnam, Singapore, and Australia.
