The '2025 US Bio Investment Attraction Capacity Building Program' hosted by Gyeonggi Province, organized by Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency (GBSA), and operated by GenAxis Co., Ltd. , officially kicked off with an orientation on July 24.
This program, part of Gyeonggi Province's policy to foster the bio industry and support global market entry, aims to strengthen practical investor relations (IR) capabilities for Gyeonggi Province bio startups with global expansion capabilities, attracting local investment and establishing presence in the US. Through this program, Gyeonggi Province aims to establish a foundation for supporting the sustainable growth of local companies within the global bio ecosystem.
GBSA has designed a practical program to support the global expansion and investment attraction of Gyeonggi-do bio startups. The program is structured in stages, beginning with company-specific diagnostics, followed by IR enhancement, English pitching training, local collaboration programs (Boston IR events), and online briefings.
Ten companies (*see below) were ultimately selected for this program, and Zenaxis Co., Ltd. plans to operate a customized, practical accelerating program, including IR consulting, IR deck design, and pitching capability enhancement, based on the diagnostic results of each company.
The program will provide step-by-step support, including ▲corporate diagnosis ▲IR consulting ▲English pitching consulting ▲English IR material production ▲IR design support ▲participation in a local US (Boston) conference ▲participation in a local linked demo day for global investors ▲online investment briefing, etc., to substantially strengthen the business promotion and investment attraction capabilities of participating companies.
The orientation event included a program overview by the operator, Zenaxis Co., Ltd., followed by an introduction of participating companies and networking opportunities. This was followed by training on trends and developments in the US biotech investment market. A company assessment was conducted to assess each company's readiness for global expansion and develop investment attraction strategies. This assessment will enable the sequential implementation of IR capacity building and investment linkage programs tailored to each company's global expansion level and demand.
The Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency and Zenaxis Co., Ltd. announced that they plan to “establish a practical capacity building and sustainable support system to help bio startups preparing for global expansion connect with actual investment and expand into overseas markets.”
